The manuscript fond has a collection of scripts for clown acts, circus acts, feature acts, and other circus attractions. The museum retains the archive of A.N. Shirai, the manuscripts of writer A.A. Barten, and the personal papers of a number of circus performers. There is a card catalogue on the circus prepared by A.Ia. Shneer. The museum is particularly rich in graphic materials (engravings, drawings, costume designs, and circus ring designs). There are also many posters, playbills, programs, and newspaper clippings, along with photographs and negatives. |
