History
The museum was founded in 1972. It is located in the detached house that was specially built by the government for Academician Sergei Pavlovich Korolev (1906–1966) in tribute to his outstanding services in the field of Soviet rocketry and space exploration. Since 1981, the museum has been administered as a branch of the Memorial Museum of Space Exploration (H–147).
