ArcheoBiblioBase: Archives in Russia: H-100Last update of repository: 18 August 2019Muzei im. N.G. RubinshteinaHoldings While the holdings of the earlier N.G. Rubinstein (Rubinshtein) Museum (1912–1943) under the Conservatory now all form part of the M.I. Glinka Central Museum of Musical Culture, the newly opened N.G. Rubinstein Museum has established exhibits reflecting the history of the Conservatory on the premises of the Conservatory itself. In addition to portraits, sculpture, musical instruments, and other exhibits (accessible during concerts and at other times by appointment), the museum has collected some important archival materials. Of particular note are collections of photographs, posters, and concert programs, most of which have been presented as gifts to the museum by well-known musicians and their heirs. |
