Copy facilities Copies of films or film footage can be purchased with the permission of the director. Copies can likewise be obtained of materials in the museum. Library facilities The library (ca. 90,000 titles) holds literature relating to cinematography, theater, and decorative arts. There is a branch (technical library), founded in 1958, for the use of the administration and qualified specialists, which retains technical literature on photography and cinematography (ca. 5,000 titles), including reports of scientific research work (NIR) by the staff. The music division, which earlier existed in the library, collected extensive original film music scores composed by well-known Soviet composers for the film studio, but that manuscript material was transferred to TsGALI SPb (D–18) in various stages between the 1950s and the 1990s. |
