Tolstogo (GMT)Access & Facilities Access Research access remains limited as a result of an exclusive publication agreement between the museum and the Institute of World Literature (IMLI RAN—E–8), involving the preparation of an academic edition of the complete works of Tolstoi. Accordingly, researchers (particularly foreign researchers) will not be given permission to examine papers and documents which are, or potentially could be, under consideration for publication. Inventories and other finding aids for manuscript materials are also not normally available to outside researchers. Furthermore, some fonds or parts of fonds have been closed at the wishes of the creators or donors, and researchers are not given access to materials which could be used to the detriment of the Tolstoi family. All decisions regarding the granting or refusal of access are made by the Academic Council of the museum. Library facilities The museum has an extensive library which is part of the Division of Book Fonds (tel.: +7 499 766-97-61). |
