Total: over 6,000 units, late XVII s.–to present

The museum retains an exceptionally rich collection of Russian lubok, the popular folk wood-block prints, which for exhibit purposes have been arranged in an historical context starting with the eighteenth century. Among its earliest holdings is the Bible illustrated by V. Koren' (1692–1696). Exhibits and other graphic holdings within the museum fonds, include the work of late eighteeenth- and early nineteenth century artists I.I. Terebenev and A.G. Venetsianov; early twentieth-century lubok of K.S. Malevich, A.V. Lentulov, D.S. Moor (pseud. of D.S. Orlov), and G.I. Narbut, among others; lubok from the 1930s of V. Kulikov and B.M. Kustodiev; as well as more contemporary lubok and other graphic materials in the tradition of popular folk arts.
