Working conditions Researchers are accommodated in working offices of the museum. Materials are delivered soon after they are ordered. Copy facilities Xerox facilities are available and photographic copies can be made of graphic materials. Library facilities The museum library (ca. 192,000 vols.) contains literature on theology, dogmatics, religious practices, the history of churches, religious propagation and atheism, history, archeology, ethnography, philosophy, sociology, literary criticism, and art. It has incunabula and early Russian printed books dating back to the sixteenth century, as well as secular and religious periodicals. There are books from the libraries of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (Imperatorskoe Pravoslavnoe Palestinskoe obshchestvo), the Central Antireligious Museum in Moscow, the Kazan Cathedral, the Catholic Church of St. Catherine (Ekaterininskii kostel), the Synodal Library, and the Workers' Antireligious University (Rabochii antireligioznyi universitet).
