The museum retains originals and copies of documents relating to I.I. Brodskii's life and work. These include his diploma on graduating from the Academy of Arts, messages of congratulation, decoration certificates, E.I. Brodskii's recollections of his father, letters, and other documentary material. There are individual and group photographs of Brodskii and various other prominent figures in the world of arts, like F.I. Chaliapin (Shaliapin), A.M. Gor'kii, S.A. Esenin (Yesenin), and I.E. Repin. On exhibit in the museum is Brodskii's own art collection, which includes graphic works of Russian and Soviet artists in the late nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century. Represented here are such artists as I.E. Repin, B.M. Kustodiev, F.A. Maliavin, V.A. Serov, Alexandre Benois (A.N. Benua), K.A. Somov, M.V. Dobuzhinskii, V.E. Makovskii, and G.S. Vereiskii, among others. |
