A collection of articles about the museum honoring its 120th anniversary. Of particular relevance here are the following articles by the current director and other museum specialists that describe the museum's history and survey its archival and library materials:

        Other articles describe other parts of the museum collections and outline the museum's functions, exhibits, organizational work, and scholarly activities. Includes a bibliography of other descriptive publications. The series with the same general title continues in subsequent years with other publications relating to the museum holdings and activities.
