The museum holds gramophone records and compact disks of musical works written by Russian and foreign composers. They include recordings made by F.I. Chaliapin (Shaliapin) (1898) and N.I. Zabela-Vrubel', and recordings of the M.E. Piatnitskii Peasant Choir.
Recorded works for piano represent practically all famous Russian composers—M.I. Glinka, A.S. Dargomyzhskii, M.P. Musorgskii (Mussorgsky), A.P. Borodin, M.A. Balakirev, and A.K. Glazunov, among others. There are also recordings of piano works performed by the composers themselves, including Edvard Grieg, Claude Debussy, Charles Saint-Saöns, A.N. Scriabin (Skriabin), and Maurice Ravel.
Choral singing is represented by recordings of the concerts of D.S. Bortnians'kyi and the quartets of I.V. Laskovskii.
Contemporary music can be heard in the works of I.F. Stravinskii (Igor Stravinsky), K.A. Erdeli, E.V. Obraztsova, A.G. Shnitke, E.V. Denisov, R.K. Shchedrin, and many other composers and performers.
