Chistiakova—Filial NIM RAKhHoldings Total: ca. 550 units, 1840s–1980s documents—35 units (1850s–1970s); photographs—ca. 100 (1870s–1980s); graphics (drawings, watercolors)—ca. 400 units (1840s–1980s) The documentary holdings of the museum constitute part of the Chistiakov family archive, previously held in the family by the painter's grandson, Ia.V. Durdin, and his niece, O.E. Meier-Chistiakova. They include documents relating to the biography of Chistiakov's father-in-law, E.E. Meier, and his niece, V.M. Baruzdina, documents on the building of his dacha, and diaries, among other papers. Photographic holdings include portraits of P.P. Chistiakov, members of his family, his friends and pupils, the latter including the writer O.D. Forsh, the musician and composer Iu.F. L'vova, the painter and poet M.A. Voloshin, and the painters V.E. Savinskii and V.M. Baruzdina. There are also photographs of places associated with Chistiakov's life and work, such as Krasnyi Kholm (Tver Guberniia), where the painter spent his childhood. There are drawings by Chistiakov and his pupils, including the classwork of V.E. Savinskii (drawings, watercolors and albums of sketches) and albums of drawings done by Chistiakov's daughter, A.P. Chistiakova. There are also a number of pencil portraits of M.A. Vrubel' by E.O. Kirienko-Voloshina (the mother of M.A. Voloshin); O.A. Vaksel', the actress, by V.M. Baruzdina; M.V. Nesterov by T.A. Mollot; and N.A. Bruni and V.M. Baruzdina by V.I. Savinskii. |
