Brodskogo—Filial NIM RAKhHistory The museum was opened in 1949 in the apartment where the painter Isaak Izrailevich Brodskii (1884–1939), professor and director of the All-Russian Academy of Arts (1934–1939), lived and worked from 1924 to 1939. The museum is administered as a branch of the RAKh Scientific Research Museum (H–237), as a memorial to the artist, who was one of the central figures on the Soviet art scene during the 1920s and 1930s. |
