These include drawings, watercolors, engravings, and lithographs done not only by famous artists, but also by seamen wishing to record the events of naval campaigns and operations. On exhibit are the watercolor drawings of A. Depal'do, a naval cadet, who painted the Black Sea Fleet under the command of F.F. Ushakov in its battles with the Turks on the Kerch Straits (1790) and at Cape Kaliakria (1791); the paintings of R.F. Frents, who depicted the events in Senate Square on December 14, 1825; and portraits by V.F. Timm, who painted the heroes of the Defense of Sebastopol (1854–1855).
