Kots, N.N. Ladygina-Kots, A.A. Paramonov, and P.P. Smolin. They include scientific works on animal psychology, Darwinism, and the study and administration of museums, as well as correspondence with leading scholars throughout the world. There are also photographic copies of letters written by the Russian biologist V.O. Kovalevskii to Charles Darwin, and letters written by Darwin and his relatives. Photographs illustrate the history of the museum with pictures of various exhibitions that have been held since its founding. There are many photographs of biological species and pictures taken of animals in their natural habitat. There are also photographs of, and those collected by, the biologists V.A. Vagner, Thomas Huxley, N.K. Kol'tsov, and Konrad Lorenz. The museum has films on the behaviour of anthropoid apes and their study by the American biologist Roberta Yorks.
