Several world-renowned herbaria are held by the museum, such as those of Friedrich August Marschall von Bieberstein, Karl Bernhard von Trinius, and the Caucasian collection, which include drawings and other related documents. The museum has also a large photograph archive (https://www.binran.ru/structure/museu...), which holds ca. 30,000 photographs and negatives related to botany in Russia. There are the pictures made by the famous photographers Karl Bulla and Iosif Ozup in 1913, pictures taken in 1905–1912 on expeditions, valuable materials on the history of the Komarov Botanical Institute, and pictures from expeditions of the Institute, among others. |
