The more extensive archival materials for the period after 1953 remain in the Institute. There are also records of the Biological Station of the Zoological Institute in the village of Rybachii (Kaliningrad Oblast) and the Scientific Committee for the Study of Mammoths and Mammoth Fauna (1948–1975). There are also the personal papers (1929–1972) of the zoologist G.K. Petrushevskii. N.B. The permanent archive of the Zoological Museum and Institute (fond 55, 1829–1951), including the diaries of N.M. Przheval'skii (1867–1881), is retained in SPbF ARAN (E–25).
