Among the holdings are many archival materials, including some of Zelinskii’s notebooks, part of his correspondence, and other documents of a personal and biographical character. There are also a number of rare photographs, some dating back to the late nineteenth century, including family photographs and autographed photographic portraits of other scientists. There are also a few documentary films (1924–) and negatives from Zelinskii’s collection. The museum also retains Zelinskii’s personal library (7,824 vols.) with many dedicatory autographs. N.B. Part of Zelinskii’s personal papers have been transferred to the Archive of the Academy of Sciences (E–1, fond 629, 1888–1942, 435 units; electronically: http://www.isaran.ru/isaran/isaran.ph...). Copies of many of those documents transferred remain in the Memorial Cabinet. |
