Working conditions The reading room has 27 individual places for users for work. Files are delivered within 2 working days after orders are placed (with a maximum order of 10–12 files at a time). Copy facilities Facilities are available for microfilm, microfiche, photographs, and xerox copies. Reference facilities The website has a list of all fonds and opisi within some fonds with an annotations at: https://spbarchives.ru/infres/-/archi... The archive has a typewritten list of fonds from the Leningrad Party Archive. Opisi are available for processed fonds. Card catalogues provide systematic, name, and geographic divisions. There are also subject-oriented card files with summaries of questions covered by Party meetings. Not all of the reference materials are open to researchers. Library facilities The extensive library holdings (comprising ca. 120,000 books, close to 4,000 newspapers, and 27,000 issues of journals) relate to the Russian social and revolutionary movements of the 19th–20th cc. Library temporarily closed for researchers. |
