According to the 1996 Law of RF “On the Foreign Intelligence Service,” the SVR and other agencies dealing with foreign intelligence are given increased authority over their own records, although theoretically, documentation from this archive that is considered to have a scientific-historical significance, is to be transferred to Rosarkhiv. A few limited categories of documents are now being transferred to RGVA (see B–8). |
