History
The National Archive of the Komi Republic was reestablished as a consolidated “Government Institution” in 2004 in according with the decree of the Government of the Komi Republic on the base of archival fonds of National Archive of the Komi Republic, the Komi Republic State Archive of Socio-Political Movements and Formations and the Pechora State Archive. Fonds of the consolidated archive are now accommodated in two different archival repositories in Syktyvkar (nos. 1 and 2).
