Total: 4 fonds, 1640s–1923
MS and early printed books—819 units (1640s–1923); archive of former “Pokrovskii sobor”—ca. 5,000 folios of documents

The museum holds a collection of manuscripts and early printed books mainly of a theological nature, including an Altar Gospel written in the 1540s for Metropolitan Ioasaf Skripitsin, the Books of the Apostles with an inscription dated 1591, the Life of Nikolai Chudotvorets (1671), and a seventeenth-century service Gospel in the Georgian language.
Also found here are the archives of the former Pokrovskii Cathedral (including income and expenditure account books and edicts of the Ecclesiastical Consistory). The museum also retains the restoration archive, and the administrative records of the Pokrovskii Cathedral Museum.

N.B. Much of the archive of the former Pokrovskii Cathedral was destroyed after the October Revolution in 1917, though there is no precise information on the size of the loss.
