History
The Memorial Aparment-Museum, honoring the biologist, agronomist, and science professor Kliment Arkad'evich Timiriazev (1843–1920), opened in 1942, as a branch of the Timiriazev Museum of Biology, in the apartment where Timiriazev lived from 1899 until his death in 1920. In 1946 the museum was transferred to the jurisdiction of the K.A. Timiriazev Moscow Academy of Agriculture, and in 1958 underwent significant renovation. The museum features five rooms of exhibits regarding his scientific activities, including his library and working study.
