Keldysh Memorial Cabinet-Museum was established in 1978 under the auspices of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR to honor Academy President Academician Mstislav Vsevolodovich Keldysh (1911–1978). It occupies Keldysh’s former study and working office in the Institute of Applied Mathematics, which he directed for twenty-five years. N.B. Institutional records of the Institute of 1947–1988 has been deposited in the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ARAN—E–1, fond 1939, 905 units).
