State Archive of Publications (GAP)The published Russian National Bibliography serves as an approximate register of holdings in GAP in terms of the archive of depository copies, although, as mentioned above, there are some gaps in the actual holdings. RKP/VKP regularly and systematically publishes official national bibliography for imprints in the USSR since 1918, and for the Russian Federation since 1991.

Provides a detailed introductory agency history of VKP (pp. 3–74), a history of the records themselves (pp. 75–80), and a brief characterization of the documents to be found in the fond. An appendix lists of other early twentieth-century state bibliographic institutions represented among the VKP records, and there is an extensive bibliography of related literature, including archival sources. |
