Ostrovskogo (GM—GTsPO)Access & Facilities Access Access to the document materials requires a letter of application from the researcher's sponsoring organization, stating the aims and purposes of the research, with the written endorsement of the museum director and presentation of a passport. Working conditions An appointment to work with documents must be made in advance with the Chief Curator. Researchers are received in the museum offices. Copy facilities Photographic copying facilities are available. Reference facilities There are surveys of various fonds of personal papers, photographs in the Ostrovskii Memorial Fond, illustrations for the writer's novels, materials on the subject of the “Great Patriotic War of the Fatherland,” and part of the collection on the theme “Overcoming.” There are subject catalogues and card catalogues of the people who knew Ostrovskii. The Scientific Archive of the museum itself has not yet been fully arranged and described. Library facilities The museum has a library, access to which requires permission from the museum director. The book fond consists of Ostrovskii's personal library, collections of his own writings, separate autographed editions of his novels, publications on Ostrovskii, and works by writers awarded the Ostrovskii Prize. |
