The latest in a series of popular guides to the history and collections of the museum, with expanded coverage of the architectural ensemble of the monastery, and artistic treasures retained there, including paintings, graphic works, and decorative arts. But there is no mention of the archival holdings.

The basic scholarly series issued by the museum. In terms of archival coverage: The first issue contains a detailed history of the museum and its activities based on inventories of the collections. The second issue contains a description of architectural drawings from 1839 (pp. 113–14). The third issue includes an historical survey of the monastery. The fourth issue includes an article on the history of the museum (pp. 3–7), a scholarly description of the 1641 inventory held by the museum, and a survey of sixteenth-century illuminated manuscripts from the museum collections (pp. 83–96). The fifth issue includes a scholarly description of the charters of petition under Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich (1616) and a survey of the autograph documents and compositions by Simon Azar'in (from RGB and GIM).
