Dom-muzei P.P. Chistiakova—Filial NIM RAKh


History
The museum was opened in 1987 in the Chistiakov country house (dacha) in the town of Pushkin (before 1918, Tsarskoe Selo; 1918–1937, Detskoe Selo) that once belonged to painter and art teacher Pavel Petrovich Chistiakov (1832–1919), a professor of portrait and historical painting at the Imperial Academy of Arts. The museum is now administered as a branch (filial) of the RAKh Scientific Research Museum (H–237).

N.B. The personal papers of P.P. Chistiakov are held in the Manuscript Sector of the State Russian Museum (H–236) and in the Manuscript Division of the Tret'iakov State Gallery (H–44). The papers of the Chistiakov Memorial Circle (Kruzhok pamiati P.P. Chistiakova) are to be found in the Scientific Bibliographic Archive (Nauchno-bibliograficheskii arkhiv) of RAKh (E–56).
