Holdings
personal fonds—over 50

The Scientific Archive consists of scientific and scientific-administrative records of the Institute itself (personnel records, accounting records, and others) and part of the records of the Faculty of Psychology of St. Petersburg University. Most of the documentation consists of reports on the scientific research work of the Institute, documentation from conferences and symposia, and records of the defense of dissertations in the academic council of the Institute.
        The archive has a large complex of personal papers which are not yet arranged. These include personal papers of the scholars and members of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences S.L. Rubinshtein (1889–1960), N.A. Rybnikov (1880–1961), and B.N. Teplov (1896–1965); and the professors S.G. Gellershtein, A.A. Lublinskaia (1903–1983), A.I. Meshcheriakov (1923–1974), K.K. Platonov (1900–1976), and D.I. Reitenbarg, among others.

N.B. Part of institutional records of the Institute have been deposited in the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ARAN—E-1, fond 2097, 248 units; 1972–1990). Working conditions:
Researchers are accomodated in working offices, where files are available the day they are ordered.

Reference facilities:
Card catalogues are available for all processed fonds, although some of the holdings have not yet been processed.

Library facilities:
The archive has its own special library with reference facilities open to researchers. It was founded on the basis of the personal libraries of scholars associated with the Institute which were received with their papers.

Copy facilities:
Xerox facilities are available on a fee-for-service basis.
